Visitable ships
From June 27 to 28, don't miss the discovery of48 boats, of which 26 ships will be visitable free of charge, for all ages, children and parents alike.
These 48 boats are in tribute to the 48 communes of Caen la mer. You'll be able to discover tall ships, traditional boats like the Belem or the Granvillaise, as well as older and more recent craft, all linked to the maritime history of Normandy. Self-guided tours will take place on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, the fleet will set sail down the Canal de Caen à la Mer, a spectacle not to be missed!
The boats will be spread over three main quays:
- the Quai Gaston Lamy (Quai 1),
- the Quai de Normandie (Quai 2),
- the Bassin Saint-Pierre (Quai 3).
This organization allows you to take full advantage of the diversity of the ships and easily explore each site. Whether you come on foot, by bike or with your family, you'll have plenty of time to discover these magnificent ships in a friendly setting.
