The Maritime Weekend on the Port and Presqu'île of Caen
For its third highlight, the Caen Millennium sets sail for the port and the Presqu'île, for the time of a great festive weekend. For 3 days, come and enjoy a unique experience around the sea, which has shaped Caen's history for over 1000 years.
The program: ship visits, concerts, screenings, gourmet meals, exhibitions, conferences, sporting activities, monumental and participative works. Numerous events await you on the quayside, for young and old alike. It's the perfect time to call in Caen!

48 ships to represent the 48 communes of Caen la mer. Whether impressive in size or a testament to Normandy's maritime heritage, these ships are sure to amaze the curious and the sea-loving alike.

How to get here
🚲 Coming by bike
Two bike parks (not guarded - remember your lock) are available:
- Presqu'île - Grande pelouse
- Presqu'île - Ancien Marché de gros
Also take advantage of Vélolib (Twisto), with a station extended for the event behind the Bibliothèque Alexis de Tocqueville.
👉 To ensure everyone's comfort, we kindly ask you to dismount your bike on the quays of the Bassin St-Pierre and Presqu'île.
👣 Coming on foot
Pedestrian access is possible without restrictions, so come along for the ride!
Please note: the Fonderie bridge will be open intermittently for Sunday's parade, so remember to plan ahead or bypass via the port.
🚋 Coming by streetcar or bus
The Twisto network is adapting its timetables for the occasion and continuing traffic until 1:00am:
- T1, T2, T3: evening reinforcement on Friday and Saturday
- T2: Sunday morning reinforcement to the Presqu'île
- Bus line 12 reinforced on Sunday to access the maritime parade
Use the parkings relais with direct streetcar access on the outskirts:
- P+R Ifs Jean-Vilar - Access to Bernières stop via Tramway T1
- P+R Côte de Nacre - Access to Presqu'île stop via Tramway T2
- P+R Beaulieu - Access to Bernières stop via bus line n°2

🚆 Coming by train
The Caen SNCF train station is just 10 minutes' walk from the festivities site.
🚗 Coming by car
Parking lots with free shuttle (every 15 to 20 minutes) drop you off nearby :
- Beaulieu Brazza
- Stade d'Ornano
- Silicon Valley
- Palais des Sports / Parc Expo (Trittons)
- Zénith
- Hippodrome:
Drop off at stop: Quai de Juillet
Sunday June 29, park along the canal to watch the nautical parade:
- Blainville-sur-Orne: in front of the Motordus media library
- Bénouville: rue du Commerce (pépinières de Bavent)
- Ouistreham: field at the entrance to the town (signage on site)

2 parkings reserved for people with disabilities are planned, accessible with a Carte Mobilité Inclusion (CMI):
- Mendes-France (near EFFIA Gare parking lot)
- Ancien Marché de gros (access via Colombelles / Presqu'île)
Don't hesitate to report your need for accompaniment to the volunteers in orange, trained to help you.
👨🍳 Catering
The shops and restaurants remain open, so take the opportunity to grab a bite to eat at yourfavorite restaurant.
An ephemeral maritime canteen is setting up on the peninsula! 10 restaurateurs and a bar will introduce you to maritime-flavored gastronomy, to be enjoyed on the spot over a drink.
La cantine maritime will be open Friday and Saturday from 11am to 11pm and Sunday from 11am to 3pm with over 15 structures :
- Jo Arbuste, Lou Kombucha, Brasserie Spore, Meuh cola, Les mets chai, Indigène, Festin fauve, Cité de l'alimentation, Fromagerie conquérant, Et si et Compagnie, Au fil de L'ante, Pain Vivants, La roche Fumé, Mie-figues Mi-raisin, Tapioca crémerie.

Informations pour les riverains
À compter du jeudi 26 juin à 20h00 et jusqu'au dimanche 29 juin à 12h00,
L'accès des véhicules des riverains, des entreprises et des services publics par le Pont de la Fonderie sera possible exclusivement pour stationner dans les parkings privés situés :
- Rue Dumont d'Urville,
- Avenue de l'Orne,
- Avenue Victor Hugo jusqu'au niveau de l'arrêt de tram,
- Impasse Victor Hugo.
L'esplanade Stéphane Hessel ne sera pas accessible.
Le Pont de la Fonderie ne permettra de desservir aucune autre rue que celles citées plus haut. Il ne sera donc pas possible d'accéder à la Presqu'île par le Pont de la Fonderie.
L'accès :
- Quai Hippolyte Lefevre
- Voie 810
- Cours Caffarelli (jusqu'à l'intersection avec la rue Gaston Lamy)
- Rue Gaston Lamy
sera possible uniquement par la RD 402 (Colombelles).
La partie du cours Caffarelli située entre le pont de l'Ecluse et la rue de Cardiff sera totalement interdite à la circulation et au stationnement.
Les rues Dumont d'Urville, Avenue de l'Orne, Victor Hugo ne seront accessibles via la RD 402.
